3 IAF commando groups air-dropped in Sir Creek area to find suspected Pakistanis

Border Security Force (BSF) said that three Indian Air Force (IAF) commando groups were air-dropped from three different directions Thursday to find suspected Pakistani nationals hiding in Sir Creek, Gujarat.

During routine aerial surveillance in the Harami Nala area by drone on Wednesday, eight Pakistani boats were spotted. Immediately a team was sent but the intruders sensed the situation and jumped off from their boats.

As per the BSF Gujarat, the area where commandos were air-dropped is very marshy with mangroves and tidal waters, making the task challenging. A BSF official said that the commandos are part of a specialized unit of the BSF for patrolling and operational duties in the creek areas of the Rann of Kutch.

He further stated that those intruders are still hiding in the area because the entire area is under the strict vigil of BSF since them and the operation to locate them is still in progress.
