
Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terrorists, including a Pakistani national, were killed in an encounter with security forces on Wednesday in the Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir, the J&K police said.
According to a police official, cordon and search operations were launched by security forces in Chandgam village of the Pulwama district that turned into an encounter. He said that the three terrorists were gunned down by the security forces in exchange of fire.
Vijay Kumar, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) for Kashmir zone, identified the slain men as belonging to Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). A Pakistani national was also among those killed.
“Incriminating material, and arms and ammunition, including two M-4 carbines and one AK series rifles, were recovered,” he said adding that it was a “big success for us”.
