Five According to local media, Chinese military planes entered Taiwan’s air defense identification zone (AIDZ) on Tuesday, marking the ninth incident this month. A Shaanxi Y-8 anti-submarine warfare plane and four Shenyang J-16 fighter jets from the People’s Liberation Army Air Force flew into the country’s Western Air Defense Identification Zone, Taiwan news reported citing the country’s Ministry of National Defense (MND).
Taiwan responded by sending aircraft, issuing radio warnings, and deploying air defence missile systems to track the Chinese planes. Taiwan News reported that 35 Chinese planes are spotted in Taiwan’s identification zone this month, including 23 fighter jets and 12 spotter planes.
