
The Chief of Army Staff General MM Naravane held comprehensive dialogues with Commander of Royal Saudi Land Forces Lt Gen Fahd Bin Abdullah Mohammed Al-Mutair on Tuesday. The main aim of this meeting was to expand bilateral defence relations between the two friendly nations. Lt Gen Al-Mutair was also accorded a guard of honor at the South Block lawns upon the arrival for the meeting.
“Lieutenant General Fahd Bin Abdullah Mohammed Al-Mutair, Commander, Royal Saudi Land Forces, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia called on General MM Naravane #COAS & discussed ways to further enhance the bilateral defence cooperation between the two countries,” the official handle of the Indian Army tweeted.
The defence and security relations between India and Saudi have been on an upswing in the last few years. The Army chief Gen Naravane paid his last visit to the Gulf nation in December 2020 which was the first-ever visit by an Indian army chief.
