Army chief visits Punjab University, says AI weapon of future wars

Army Chief General MM Naravane was in Punjab University on Monday. During his address at the university he said, “The future wars will be fought with inventive methods and artificial intelligence.”

General Naravane was the chief guest at a national seminar held at the Punjab University’s defence and strategic studies department to celebrate 50 years of victory of India over Pakistan in the 1971 war.

The coordinator of the seminar said that it was a matter of pride for the university to have the army chief as PhD student. General Naravane also spoke about security policy and future needs.

Other military dignitaries present in the seminar were Lt Gen HS Panag, Lt Gen JS Cheema, and Lt Gen BS Grewal. Lt Gen Grewal also talked about the naval and air battles on the western front as well as he talked about the tactical importance of the Shakar bulge.
