BSF (ADG) Eastern Command, YB Khurania, during his address at a press conference said that the Border Security Force (BSF) has zero tolerance towards corruption and the paramilitary force has also taken strict action against the personnel involved in cross-border illegal activities.
“It is because of the zero-tolerance towards corruption that we have seen better days in last few years, there has been a decline in trans-border crimes. It is because this message has gone out loud and clear that connivance (with miscreants) will not be tolerated,” the senior officer of BSF said.
Khurania further said that the BSF Act has provisions to take action and that actions have been taken against illegal activities conducted by personnel. He also said that many court-martial proceedings are going on and, in some cases, the procedure has been completed and in some inquiry is still underway.
The senior officer also praised the BSF soldiers over their border manning duty, and said the force has dealt firmly with aberrations.
