
Lieutenant General Yogendra Dimri, Commander of Army Central, reviewed tactical readiness and training of troops in high-altitude areas along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) on Tuesday.
It was a challenging training session conducted in extreme weather conditions in challenging terrain conditions, according to the Surya Command of the Indian Army. “Conducted in challenging terrain conditions and amidst extreme weather, the operational activities were lauded by the Army Commander, who exhorted the troops to remain,” a statement read.
From Himachal Pradesh to Uttarakhand, the Central Command is responsible for maintaining security along the country’s border with China. China’s border lies outside Uttarakhand, so the Eastern Command has responsibility for that.
