China has launched a hostile campaign on a social media platform threatening military consequences in Arunachal Pradesh, with both verified and non-verified Twitter handles. The aggressive campaign that is being spread on Twitter includes pictures of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) troops on the Indian border.
Despite a ban on Twitter in China, the platform is filled with images and information on PLA soldiers deployed at the LAC in Ladakh and Arunachal for the past few days.
The Indian side has been on high alert on Ladakh as well as Arunachal borders in the past few months after the Chinese military carried out large-scale exercises in Tibet. India is also processing and analyzing intelligence inputs regarding Chinese intentions on the borders.
The latest video which was posted on Twitter by a verified Chinese state media-affiliated handle, claims to be from the clash at Galwan Valley last year. Another post which came two days after the Pentagon report, claims that Chinese soldiers are being moved to the border at Tawang in Arunachal.
