The prestigious Chinar Corps of the Indian Army launched a helicopter-borne training and validation exercise in the upper reaches of Kashmir with the Indian Air Force, Indian Navy, and Indian Army.
The tri-service exercise was planned to validate the joint capability of the three services. At a height of over 9000 feet, the helicopter dropped mission force operated in the snow-covered region. Infantry, Special Forces, and Mobile Surface Combat Ships from the Indian Navy made up the heliborne task force. Heli-drop exercises from the Indian Army and Indian Air Force included full transportation and armed helicopters.
Exercises like this demonstrated the ability of the Chinar Corps and Indian Army to conduct successful operations in high-altitude areas that included all aspects of a modern battlefield in sync with the IAF and navy.
