A sub inspector working for CRPF was killed on Sunday after his colleague, a head constable, opened fire at him at Venkatapuram village in Mulugu district, a senior police official said.
The SI died on the spot and the head constable is in critical state as he fired upon himself. The injured has been shifted to the hospital, said the Mulugu Superintendent of police, Sangram Singh told PTI.
The official further said that the deceased was identified as Umesh Chandra and injured constable is identified as Stephen. The officials said that the probe of the killing is underway and soon the cause of incident will be ascertained.
