
Dassault Reliance Aerospace Express Limited (DRAL) will sub-lease part of land in Multi-modal International Hub Airport at Nagpur (MIHAN) special economic zone (SEZ) from the Maharashtra Airport Development Company Limited (MADC) to establish a Rafale servicing center in India.
The upcoming facility at the DRAL will be used for servicing of Rafale jets and also conduct software and hardware upgrades to the jets soon that also includes integration and certification of local and imported weapons systems in the fighter aircraft on behalf of the Indian Air Force.
DRAL facility center can also be used to manufacture Rafale for the Indian Air Force if the company bags the contract for additional aircraft that are mandated to be manufactured and assembled in India.
DRAL is now part of the global supply chain of the Rafale fighter jets after it started manufacturing and supplying doors that cover the twin engines of the aircraft. It was initially manufacturing only cockpits for the French manufacturer’s Falcon business jets, besides other parts.
