Terrorists hurled a grenade at security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Hari Singh High Street locality on Sunday, killing a civilian and injuring 24 others, including a policeman. “At about 4:20 pm, terrorists hurled a grenade upon police and security forces deployment at Hari Singh High Street,” a police official said.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Aslam Makhdoomi (70), a resident of the Nowhatta area of the city. On Monday, a 19-year-old girl, who was injured grenade blast succumbed to injuries, taking the death toll to two, officials said.
The girl was identified as Rafiya, a resident of Hazratbal area of the city, succumbed to the injuries at the SMHS hospital on Monday morning. “She had suffered injuries on her head and succumbed at around 8 am,” officials said.
