In the Indian Armed Forces, there is no provision for reservations based on caste or religion, unlike other government organisations. The reason there are no Reservations in armed forces is because when it comes to national security, one can never compromise on quality. An officer who comes through a quota into the civil services or likes may still survive(they actually thrive), as the job profile and tasks are not as vital as national security.
