DRDO gives contract to Paras Defence for border surveillance tech

Paras Defence and Space Technologies was chosen by the Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO) to provide technology for border surveillance systems developed by Instrument Research & Development Establishment and the DRDO. 

This technology is part of a licensing agreement for technology transfer (ToT) for border surveillance systems between the company and Instruments Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). 

It will provide all-weather surveillance for day and night monitoring of the border areas, and it will consist of radars, EO sensors, etc. mounted on pan-tilt platforms. With this ToT, Paras Defence and Space Technologies shall be serving the requirement of the Armed Forces of the country. 

The initial public offer (IPO) of Paras Defence and Space Technologies was subscribed 304.26 times. It opened for bidding on 21 September 2021 and closed on 23rd September 2021.
