During a statement on Thursday, Joe Biden stated that the threat of Russian invasion of Ukraine is very high and could happen within days.
While addressing at the White House, President Biden said that the US saw no signs of claimed Russian withdrawal of military along its border with Ukraine. He said that the US has “reason to believe that Russia is engaged in false flag operation to have an excuse to go in.” He told the reporters in Washington that every indication hints that they are prepared to go into Ukraine and attack it.
Earlier, a US Embassy spokesman told a Russian news agency that Russia has expelled the deputy chief of the US mission in Moscow. The State Department confirmed the expulsion, calling it unprovoked. This move came against the backdrop of high tensions between Russia and Ukraine.
