
Grenadier Hari Bhakar was born on 1st October 1998, to Shri Padma Ram Bhakar. He was a native of Joosari village of Makarana Tehsil in Nagaur district Rajasthan. He joined the Indian Army in July 2016 at the age of 18. He was recruited into 4 Grenadiers of the Grenadiers regiment. His battalion was deployed in the Poonch sector of J&K.

On 23rd March 2019, Pakistani troops initiated unprovoked firing on Indian posts violating the ceasefire, in Shahpur Qasba and Kerni areas of the Poonch sector. They also resorted to shelling in various Indian Army posts and civilian areas. Indian Army also responded in a tough manner to Pakistan’s aggression, ensuing a heavy cross-border firing. Heavy caliber weapons and rockets were used during the cross-border firing. However, during the cross-border firing Grenadier Hari got seriously injured and later he succumbed to his injuries.
Grenadier Hari was a valiant young soldier who laid down his life for the nation. He is survived by his parents, brother, and sister.
