Jammu and Kashmir DGP Dilbag Singh on Friday said that the Hyderpora encounter was transparent and that political leaders who have been questioning the clean chit given to the forces should submit evidence to the investigation panels.
“We have made it clear Hyderpora operation was transparent. If they have evidence, they should present it to the investigation panel,” DGP Dilbag Singh said at a press conference on being asked about the political leaders’ comments against the probe by the local police.
DGP J&K Police also said that a total of 182 terrorists, including the top 44 ultras, were killed in 100 successful operations in J&K in 2021. He also said that 134 youngsters joined terror ranks in the Union territory this year, with 72 being neutralized and 22 being arrested by the security personnel.
“Infiltration down this year, only 34 terrorists have managed to infiltrate. Besides nine terrorists of JeM involved in the attack on a police bus in Pantha Chowk were eliminated in the last 24 hours,” he further added.
