IAF all set to raise its second squadron of Rafale Jets

The Indian Air Force is set to raise a second squadron of the Rafale combat jets in mid-April in Hasimara airbase in West Bengal, official sources said on Thursday. 

The first squadron of the Rafale jets is stationed at Ambala Air Force station. The first batch of 5 Rafales arrived in India on 29th July 2020. The second batch of 3 Rafale jets arrived on November 3 last year and the third batch of 3 more jets joined the fleet on January 27, early this year. 

The sources said that the second Rafale Jets squadron being raised at the next main operating base (MOB) at Hasimara will base more Rafale jets that will be coming to the country in a few couples of months.
