India and Pak armies exchange sweets in Uri along LoC

An exchange of sweets between troops from India and Pakistan along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir was a gesture towards promoting peace and harmony on the auspicious occasion of Diwali on Thursday.

“On the occasion of Diwali and as a gesture for promoting peace, harmony, and compassion in the true spirit of the festival, Indian, and Pakistani Armies held a flag meeting and exchanged sweets at Kaman Aman Setu, Uri and Tithwal Crossing on Kishanganga River in Tangadhar, Kupwara,” a defence spokesperson said.

As is well known, the incidents occurred at a time when both the Indian and Pakistani armies were strictly adhering to the Ceasefire Agreement along the Line of Control (LoC).
