Indian and Egyptian air forces held two-day joint exercise

The Indian Air Force and the Egyptian Air Force carried out a two-day exercise at El Berigat airbase in Egypt. The aim of this military drill between the air forces of both nations was to upgrade mutual understanding and share operational experience, an official said in a statement.

The exercise named ‘Desert Warrior’ was conducted on October 30 – 31, IAF said on Twitter. “The IAF and Egyptian Air Force participated in Exercise Desert Warrior conducted at El Berigat Air Base, Egypt from 30-31 Oct 2021. It enhanced mutual understanding and provided an opportunity to share valuable operational experience,” the IAF tweeted.

The former Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria in December 2019 visited Egypt and met Air Marshal Mohamed Abbas Helmy, the Commander-in-Chief of Egypt Air Force, to boost cooperation between the two services.
