On January 15, which will be observed as Army Day, the Indian Army will unveil a new digital pattern battle uniform. The New combat uniform will be lighter and more environment friendly and the new combat uniform will also feature a digital pattern.
An official from the Army Command and General Staff told reporters that the decision to introduce the new battle gear was made during the last Army Commanders’ Conference. There will be no need to tuck in shirts in camouflage outfits, and soldiers would not need to wear camouflage clothes currently in use.
In the new camouflage outfit, various colors, including earthy and olive, would be used. By creating the uniform in close collaboration with the Indian Army, the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) hopes to make troops more comfortable while also keeping them operationally sound.
