Mon Incident: Indian Army probes by visiting sites at Oting Village

The Indian Army visited the site at Oting Village to investigate the Mon incident on Wednesday. Konyak union, a civil society organization (CSO), stated that individuals directly involved in the Oting Yatong massacre of 4th December had also been recognized by the Public at Ground Zero.

In a statement Konyak union said, “Instead of persecuting them, why are those culprits still safe and well protected by the Indian Military Forces? Moreover, the sanctity and the customary practices/ institution of the Konyaks had been tarnished and dishonoured by letting those 21 para commandos to step upon Konyak soil, an insensitive act that is highly disappointing and unacceptable from the Military institution.”

Konyak CSO urges the Indian government to immediately sanction an order for prosecution of those Indian Army and police officers who killed those innocent Konyak youths on 4th and 5th December 2021.

The Konyak CSOs emergency meeting declares that the Oting Yatong massacre site as the Genocide site.
