A total of 13 bodies have been moved to Sulur Air Force Station from Madras Regimental Centre (MRC) in Wellington after the helicopter crash in Nilgiris, Tamil Nadu. These bodies include General Bipin Rawat and his wife.
From Sulur Air Force Station all 13 bodies will be flown to the respective native places of the crash victims. The bodies of CDS and his wife Madhulika Rawat will be airlifted to New Delhi and will be kept at their official residence at Kamaraj Marg.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, other political dignitaries, and armed forces personnel are expected to pay their last homage to General Bipin Rawat in Delhi.
Rajnath Singh has already declared in Parliament that the bodies of all those dead in the helicopter crash would be given full state honors.
