The mortal remains of Lance Naik B Sai Teja, who lost his life in the Mi 17 V5 crash that was carrying CDS General Bipin Rawat also, reached Madanapalle in Chittoor district on Sunday.
Later, the mortal remains of Lance Naik Sai Teja were taken out in a traditional procession through the thoroughfares of Madanapalle to his native village Eguvaregadai where elaborate arrangements were being made for the last rites to be conducted later on Sunday, an official told PTI.
Lance Naik Teja joined the Indian Army in 2012. He is survived by his wife Symala, 5-year-old son Mokshagna, and 3-year-old daughter Darshini, and his parents.
The mortal remains of Naik Gursewak Singh also reached his village on Sunday. Naik Gursewak belonged to Dode Sodhian village in neighbouring district Tarn Taran.
