Amotto is something which exhibits a belief or a purpose. A motto plays a defining role for any institute or organisation. It conveys a basic idea about the organisation. Every institute or organisation has a motto onto which the organisation is relied on. Similarly, a huge organisation like NCC has its very own motto. The motto of NCC is “UNITY AND DISCIPLINE” i.e. EKTA AUR ANUSHASHAN. This motto came after the discussion in a central advisory meeting (CAD) held on 11th August 1978. At that time there were many mottos in consideration like “duty and discipline” or “duty and unity” but at the end “unity and discipline” was finalised as the motto of NCC and since then it has been living up to its motto gracefully.
