Navy chief reviews arrangements for PFR and Ex MILAN

The Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Hari Kumar visited the Eastern Naval Command for two days to observe preparations for the President’s Fleet Review (PFR), as well as the Multinational Naval Exercise, MILAN, slated for later in February.  

As part of his discussions with Vice Admiral Biswajit Dasgupta, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Eastern Naval Command, the Navy chief discussed a number of matters. In addition to being briefed on the mitigation measures undertaken by the Command for COVID-19, he was provided a view of the operational and administrative activities of ENC. 

Admiral Hari Kumar addressed officers and sailors of the ENC and interacted with them. He was briefed on the recently activated Portable Containerized Medical Facility onboard INS Gharial. The navy chief also paid visit to NSTL for reviewing Navy’s developmental projects being progressed with DRDO during his visit. 

The navy chief was accompanied by his wife Kala Hari Kumar, president of NWWA. She was also briefed on several welfare initiatives and activities carried out by NWWA during the visit.
