
Pakistan on Thursday carried out a successful flight test of the Shaheen 1-A surface-to-surface ballistic missile. “The test flight was aimed at re-validating certain design and technical parameters of the weapon system,” Pak army was quoted.
The flight test was conducted in the presence of Lieutenant General Nadeem Zaki Manj, Director General Strategic Plans Division; Lieutenant General Muhammad Ali, Commander Army Strategic Forces Command and the scientists and engineers of strategic organisatons.
Lt Gen Manj felicitated scientists and engineers on the successful launch of the flight. President and Prime Minister of Pakistan, Arif Alvi and Imran Khan also congratulated the team on their achievement.
In March, the Pakistani forces had conducted the successful test launch of the nuclear-capable Shaheen 1-A medium range ballistic missile with a range of 900 Km.
