Pakistan has procured a complete squadron of 25 multipurpose J-10C fighter jets from China as a response to India’s purchase of Rafale jets from France, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed.
While speaking to the media in Rawalpindi on Wednesday, Rashid said that a full squadron of 25 all-weather aircraft comprising J-10C will attend the Pakistan Day ceremony on March 23 next year.
Pakistan’s closest ally China has come to the aid of its country by offering one of its highly reliable aircraft, the J-10C fighter jet.
Last year, the J-10C planes were part of the Pak-China joint exercise, where expert Pakistanis were able to take a closer look at the jets.
Despite having a fleet of US-made F-16s that would be a perfect match for the Rafale, Pakistan was in the market for a new multipurpose all-weather jet to bolster its defence after India bought Rafale.
