Prime Minister Narendra Modi while speaking at the National Cadet Corps rally at the Cariappa ground said, “If today’s youth resolve to use only those goods that have been created with the labour and sweat of an Indian, India’s destiny can be transformed.”
PM also spoke about women empowerment, saying that the large number of female cadets is a symbol of the changed attitude of the nation. New domains, like role as fighter pilots in the IAF, have been opened for females. “In such a situation, it should be our endeavour that more and more daughters should be included in the NCC,” he added.
Prime Minister Modi said no power could stop a nation whose youth is seeking growth. He urged the cadets to combine their aspirations and actions with the growth of the nation.
PM also recalled his experience as a cadet and said that there were steps being taken to strengthen the organisation across the country. He noted that in the last two years, 1 lakh new cadets had been recruited in the border areas of the country.
