Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in a virtual meeting of the Quad leaders on Thursday. The virtual meet will see participation of US President Joe Biden, PM of Japan Fumio Kishida, and Australian PM Scott Morrison.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said that the leaders will exchange views and assessments about important developments in the Indo-Pacific. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate along with President of USA Joseph R Biden, Prime Minister of Australia Scott Morrison, and Prime Minister of Japan Fumio Kishida in a Quad Leaders’ virtual meeting on March 3,” the MEA said in a statement.
The foreign ministry highlighted that the leaders of the four nations will have an opportunity to continue their dialogue after the September 2021 Summit in Washington DC.
Additionally, the Quad leaders will review and assess the ongoing implementation of the Leaders’ initiative, which is part of the Quad’s contemporary and positive agenda.
