Foreign Minister S Jaishankar met with Singapore Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen and ex-American Defence Secretary James Mattis on Saturday and discussed a range of international and regional issues.
Jaishankar arrived in Germany on Friday to participate in the Munich Security Conference (MSC). “Good to catch up with former US Secretary of Defense, James Mattis at #MSC2022. Appreciate his insights on American national security thinking,” Jaishankar tweeted.
In another tweet he wrote, “Met Singapore Defense Minister @Ng_Eng_Hen. Discussed bilateral and ASEAN related defence cooperation. Shared assessments of regional hotspots.”
At MSC, he will participate in a panel discussion on the Indo-Pacific and will also lead discussions at an event called ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav,’ which is being hosted by the Indian consulate in Munich and the Observer Research Foundation.
