Sahashtra Seema Bal (SSB) arrested a 39-year-old Chinese national on Saturday from Madhubani in Bihar. According to officials, the man entered India through the Indo-Nepal border without valid documents.
The accused has been identified as Ziyou Jiang Shi who is a resident of Fujian province on the Southern coast of China, police said. The SSB officials handed over the accused to police following an interrogation.
Gaya Singh, the station house officer of the Madhwapur police station, confirmed that an FIR has been registered in this regard and that the Chinese national has been taken into custody.
Officers of special intelligence branch (SIB) interrogated him. His mobile phones and Nepalese visa, as well as other documents, were found by police, they said.
