Security personnel killed 3 JeM terrorists in Budgam encounter

An overnight encounter between security forces and Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terrorists in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir resulted in the death of three terrorists. On Thursday evening, a police official revealed the encounter in Budgam’s Zolwa village. 

Officials report that three terrorists were killed in the exchange of fire between them and the security forces. “All three slain terrorists were affliliated with JeM terror outfit. Three AK-56 rifles and other incriminating material were recovered from the site of the encounter,” said Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kashmir, Vijay Kumar. 

The identity of one of the terrorists, who is believed to be from Srinagar, has been determined as Waseem. The identities of the other two are being determined. 16 terrorists have been eliminated in total by the security forces in the first week of January 2022.
