Sepoy Babloo Singh hailed from Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh state was born on 10th July 1987. Early childhood was spent well with his three brothers and a sister who were always together. Just at the age of 18 after done with 12th standard, in 2005 he appeared for the recruitment and was selected into the 18 Jat regiment of The Jat Regiment well known for many battle honours and gallant soldiers.

Serving in different terrain from north eastern and J&K along with this he was also part of many well-known operations like op Rakshak, op Alert, op Rhino in Assam and many more. Operating in a challenging environment was in his blood now after putting 11 years of service into the Army. In 2016, he was on deputation with 61 RR units in anti-insurgency operations in J&K.  On the night of 29/30 July, few militants tried to seek into the valley from Nowgam sector. Troops of 61 RR were on alert about the intelligence and ready to tackle the infiltration. During the operation when sepoy Babloo Singh along with his buddy were working on an anti-infiltration system, militant fire upon them. As after this they rushed to get reinforcements and get ambushed, one terrorist got under cover and hid himself into the boulders. With gun battle in progress to eliminate the rest of terrorists, Sepoy Babloo came face to face with terrorist hiding in boulders. Just 15m away from him, he got fired by a terrorist and was badly wounded.

Sepoy Babloo Singh showed expectational courage and bravery in battle situations. Showing gallantry of high order, he eliminated the terrorist and saved his comrades. He later succumbed to his injuries on that very day. Sepoy Babloo Singh was awarded the Sena Medal for his valiant act and devotion toward his service and for making supreme sacrifice.
