Sepoy Vikram Singh belonged to the Mathura district in Uttar Pradesh. Just after completing his education, Sep Vikram Singh joined Indian Army in 2013 at an age of 20 years. He served few years with his parent unit, then he was deputed to Rashtriya Rifles. He served with 50 RR there and took part in various counter-insurgency operations in J&K.

During 2018, 50 RR was posted in the Pulwama district. Their base was at Kakapore Army camp in Pulwama dist. On the 27th of May, some militants equipped with automatic weapons attacked their Army camp. That was a well-planned attack by the militants. But despite being on a surprise attack, the troops of 50 RR showed exemplary courage at an extremely high time. They restrained very heavily from their firepower. And the battle went long for hours. During this, Sepoy Vikram Singh git hit by bullets of enemies, and got seriously injured, and was taken to 92 Base Hospital. There he fought for his life, and at last, he lost his life and got martyred.

Sepoy Vikram Singh was a dedicated soldier who laid down his life in the service of the nation. Sepoy Vikram Singh is survived by his wife.
