Defence minister Rajnath Singh said integration of the tri-services is a top government priority, and it will be accomplished seamlessly, adding that the government is working hard to achieve theaterization as soon as possible.
In his speech, Rajnath Singh said that India should be a leader in high end weapon systems, highlighting hypersonic cruise missiles as a potential area of focus. “When we talk about integration and jointness, it is not limited to initiatives taken by the government alone. Its success has to be achieved by meeting of minds of our defence forces. It is an effort to jointly enhance our capabilities to face the challenges posed by our adversaries,” the minister was quoted.
The minister elaborated on the concept of integration, stating that it shouldn’t be limited to the armed forces but should involve all organizations and agencies.
