During fresh incident in Bhata-Durian village in Poonch-Rajouri range of Jammu, two army personnel including a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) were critically injured on Thursday evening.
The gunfight took place three days after 5 soldiers were martyred while fighting terrorists in Deri Ki Gali, which falls in the same range. The operation here has entered its fourth day on Thursday.
The authorities have suspended traffic on Rajouri-Poonch highway, which connects the area with Jammu, and massive operation against the militant group is underway. The Indian army is still to confirm that whether it is the same group of militants who were earlier in DKG or a new group.
The army personnel came under attack during a search operation in Bhata-Durian region which is adjacent to the DKG forest ridge. As per army officials, the operation is under progress in the region.
