
The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to establish a training center for Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) commandos in Saharanpur’s Deoband.
UP Chief Minister’s media advisor Shalabh Mani Tripathi said in a tweet, “Amid the Taliban’s savagery, here is a piece of news from UP. Yogi Ji has decided to open a commando training center in Deoband. The work has also started on a war footing.”
About one and a half dozen ATS officers, selected from all over the state, will be deputed there, Shalabh Tripathi added in his tweet.
As per the sources, the Uttar Pradesh government has already allotted over 2,000 squares meters of land for building the ATS training center in Deoband.
