Vice Admiral Ravneet Singh takes charge as Deputy Chief of Naval Staff

Vice Admiral Ravneet Singh assumed office as Deputy Chief of Naval Staff on Tuesday, the Defence Ministry said. He has commanded many frontline ships and naval air squadron. 

Singh succeeds Vice Admiral MS Panwar who retired on 31st May 2021, the statement said.  

Singh, who specialises in aviation, has held various challenging command, staff, and diplomatic assignments during his distinguished career in the Navy, and has had wide-ranging experience onboard diverse platforms, the ministry said. 

On Tuesday, Vice Admiral Sreekumar Nair took over as the Director-General Naval Projects (DGNP), Vishakhapatnam, from Vice Admiral Kiran Deshmukh.  

Nair had earlier served as Admiral Superintendent, Naval Dockyard, Vishakhapatnam, and Assistant Chief of Material (Information Technology and Systems), at Integrated Headquarters, Ministry of Defence (Navy).
